
A heart attack is immediately life-threatening. It is due to severe arrhythmias on the basis of acute or old myocardial infarction. Symptoms include severe pain in the center of the chest that is pressing and lasts for several minutes, discomfort and heaviness in the chest that may radiate to the arms, shoulders, jaw or stomach. Also intense sweating, nausea, vomiting, great weakness, pale skin and difficulty breathing. The patient is overcome with anxiety and fear.
Treatment:
- Call 166 urgently.
- If there is no phone, take the patient to the hospital immediately.
- Keep the airways open. If he stops breathing, give mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration. If there is no pulse apply cardiac massage.
- Place the patient in a sitting or semi-sitting position.
- Keep the patient warm by covering them with a blanket or coat.
- Do not give food or drink.
